The final verdict on this
Spent 10 nights in a beautiful private garden pool room. The lush tropical garden was like paradise. Staff provided really good service. Breakfast was good with diverse options. Taxis back to town can be pricey, but there's an affordable local eatery next door. Truly a place of relaxation and warmth.

The service was absolutely exceptional! The room was large and huge and big with balcony when I arrived. I got great and splendid breakfast with pastries, mini coconut Thai pancakes, amazing selections.

Location: the hotel was just off both restaurants, a secluded beach and beautiful gardens and pings. In Wood House, located nearby I had Thai meals. It was fabulous, clean and with a balcony.

Melati Beach Resort & Spa had a fantastic tropical vibe. The grounds were lush, and my family enjoyed the spacious Grand Beautiful room. The private beach was beautiful. We loved the happy hour at the pool bar. It created a fun atmosphere where guests mingled. Relying on taxis was frustrating. The nearest convenience store was a 15-minute walk along hot, uncomfortable roads. The breakfast could use more variety too. It got repetitive after a few days. Mosquito control seemed lacking as well. I ended up with quite a few bites despite precautions. The warmth of the staff was nice.

Incredible, beautiful location very close to restaurant with people smoking less than 2M away, and the gardens, specialized staff. Perfect customer care, parking on-site...

The spacious pool villa was perfect. The resort has fantastic pools and is only 15 minutes from Chaweng's nightlife. Definitely make good use of the spa services. They were awesome!
We were disappointed when our romantic dinner on the beach was canceled without notice, leaving us with limited dining options.

We were caught up at the resort during the flood disaster the last few weeks. I would like to recommend the staff and hotel for its assistance and facilities during this trying time. They were one of a few resorts which had a working generator and due to its raised location we were pretty dry and all facilities still functioned. Quite a few tourists from other resorts or private villas came over to the Melati for safety. Excellent job to Ivan and his team, they made this natural disaster bearable!

Charming, spacious villa suites. Great tropical feel/ landscaping all thru; attention to detail; excellent service and friendly staff. The infinity pool and the secluded beach are great as well. We really enjoyed our stay.

This resort suits me perfectly, providing everything I need, beach access, a lovely outdoor swimming pool, and a great spa. The staff once helped me return a forgotten hairbrush, which shows their care and attention. Don't miss the amazing in-pool bar!

Beautiful villa, extremely friendly welcoming staff, delicious food, beautiful grounds.
We did not see it at its best as we were unlucky to be there during terrible weather but the beach was a bit disappointing, somewhat rough sand and rocks washing in, but its har to know how much of this was due to the storms and also to the storms making it a bit rough and unusable.

We stayed in a 2 bed pool villa, accomodation and facilty of the roomk was very spacious and to a very good design standard. The outdoor bathroom of the second bathroom was a nice quirky touch. The main pool and beach was very nice although the typical sunbed wars was common due to a shortage of beds around beach and pool.
Although listed as a 5 star hotel, the accomodation meets this star rating but the staff and facilty did not. Simple request could not be met, such as a side salad with a main course meal of lasagne. They heavily advertise the Red Snapper restaurant within the facilty but this is acutually off site by 20 mins. Drinks are very expensive within the hotel and by the pool when compared to Thailand hotel prices.

We loved our Private Garden Pool! The whole family enjoyed the large pool, beautiful tropical gardens, and the fun kids club, especially our daughter who had a blast feeding the fish. The spacious villa was perfect.

We loved our room, once they gave it to us.. They overbooked and we didnt get our room with private pool for 24 hours! They did try and make up for it as best they could , but nothing really makes up for something like that. And it didnt help that the girl checking us in tried to tell us the temporary room was better than the two rooms with a pool.. She didnt get that the problem was that there would be no pool for the kids.. And she didnt tell us that we could buy a card for one amount and it would have extra moneys on it.. And we had to wait 4 hours for our temp rooms.. Lucky for us we were traveling with another family Yes they did give us a very small amount to compensate and a free dinner for 4 but , when we went to use the voucher they gave us a different menu.. So we complained that , that is not nice.. So they gave us wine and cheese in our room.. So like I said they did what they could.. We loved the private room pool and we loved the small beach, The restaurant at the beach was lovely and the food was very good..AND kid friendly food to boot!.. We had a lovely vacation and the pool and views were just lovely.. I would totally go back
The staff needs to be able to understand English a little better.. And they need to provide for free mosquito spray for your body..

We were happy to be upgraded from an original plan of 2 nights in a deluxe room + 4 nights in a garden pool villa to 6 nights in the pool villa, which in itself was quite spacious and cozy with comfortable interiors and facilities considering we were traveling with a 16 month old infant. The resort is a nice retreat to get away from it all and the staff were very warm and friendly at all times and like most Thai people were very friendly towards children. The resorts got a couple of decent dining options and a very nice pool. Overall the service was good and food was nice,
The hotel is situated a little further away from the action I.E. Chaweng Beach but we knew that when we made the booking. The dining options are very limited in terms of just the 2 restaurants as well as the in-room dining menu has limited options. It would have been nice to have had more time options for hotel shuttle going to Chaweng. 13:00, 16:00, 21:00 is way too limiting and we ended up spending a fair bit on private cabs which were a little pricey.
